| It was just a small shop, but Jen Bille knew that it meant a lot to her town. So, when the owners of Spring Valley Bakery fell ill and needed to close the longtime downtown fixture, she talked it over with her husband, Mark. With the help of
WESTconsin Credit Union, the Billes were able to buy and reopen the bakery.
The bakery’s six employees all returned to their jobs, and additional help was hired as well. “That’s a big difference in a town this size,” Mark notes. Local restaurants and bars were pleased to maintain their prized connection to fresh bread and buns, which Mark regularly delivers.
Mark also runs Preferred Payroll, and maintains all of his business accounts at
WESTconsin. “My payroll business is built on the fact that we have better customer service than anybody else,” he says. “And I feel like
WESTconsin Credit union has the same motto.”
