Matt and Jennifer Gryskiewicz faced a
problem common to many young couples―with welcoming the arrival of their first
child, they needed a reliable vehicle. Unfortunately, some poor decisions a few years prior had led to a substandard credit rating, and they could not get financing from the car dealers they’d approached.
Jennifer remembers being particularly heartbroken after having a car for a weekend test drive, only to be told on Monday that their financing had been turned down.
They were actually directed to WESTconsin Credit Union by an auto dealer. “He said, ‘To be honest, I can’t finance you, but the credit union probably can help,’” Matt remembers.
Matt and Jenny met Marie Gremore at WESTconsin, and the rest is history. With Marie’s help, they created a plan. They got their finances and debt under control (ahead of schedule!), were able to purchase a reliable vehicle, and now live in a beautiful new home of their own.
“We were just so happy to hear someone say it’s not as horrible as you think it is,” Jenny says.
