WESTERN WI – WESTconsin Credit Union announced the approval of a two-year renewal as a SBA Express delegated lender by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). Delegated authority allows WESTconsin Credit Union to approve SBA Express loan applications without sending them to SBA. It dramatically increases the efficiency and expediency of the SBA lending process. It is also a reflection of SBA’s confidence that WESTconsin Credit Union can process, close and service SBA Express loans.
“WESTconsin Credit Union is pleased and honored to receive another term as a SBA Express delegated lender,” said Jim Wynn, Vice President of Business Loans and Services. “Earning this designation reflects our commitment to helping the businesses in our communities grow and create jobs though our participation in SBA loan programs.” More information about this program, and eligibility requirements, is available through SBA’s www.sba.gov.
WESTconsin Credit Union has been serving members since 1939, and membership is open to individuals and businesses who live or work in the Wisconsin counties of Barron, Buffalo, Burnett, Chippewa, Clark, Dunn, Eau Claire, Jackson, Pepin, Pierce, Polk, Rusk, St. Croix, Sawyer, Taylor, Trempealeau, and Washburn, or the Minnesota counties of Anoka, Chisago, Dakota, Goodhue, Isanti, Pine, Ramsey, Wabasha, and Washington, with a $5 minimum deposit in a Membership Savings Account. WESTconsin currently has $1.3 billion in assets. Credit unions are financial institutions owned by their accountholders, and member funds are federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) up to at least $250,000.
