At WESTconsin, we're committed to providing financial assistance to students in our membership area who have plans to study at a university, college, or trade school in the upcoming year. Our Student Scholarship Program launched in 1995, and we've awarded more than $365,000 in scholarship funds to local students.

IMPORTANT: To qualify for the scholarship, you must have been a member (primary account holder) of WESTconsin Credit Union as of August 31 prior to your senior year of high school. If you are not a member, please contact your local WESTconsin office to see how we can serve you.

- Applications, including letters of recommendation, are due no later than March 1 at 11:59 p.m.

You will need to create a username and password for the application program, AwardSpring. This is different than your member account information and is NOT linked/tied to you WESTconsin Credit Union account in anyway. AwardSpring will be where you get notifications about the status of your application and any follow-up information if you are awarded a scholarship.
The WESTconsin Credit Union scholarship is a one year, one time scholarship for $1,000. This scholarship is only open to local high school seniors who are members of WESTconsin Credit Union.
- Students must be a graduating high school senior.
- Students must be a member of WESTconsin Credit Union. They must have their own account (Primary account holder) as of August 31 prior to their senior year.
- Students must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 or higher on a 4-point scale.
- Submit an application online via AwardSpring on or before March 1 at 11:59 p.m.
This application requires two letters of recommendation to be submitted along with the digital application.

We will notify the awardees school so the scholarship can be presented at their scholarship award ceremony. After all award ceremonies have taken place WESTconsin will announce all the awardees publicly.
Yes. Awardees are required to submit additional information such as a current photo of themselves and a signed media release form so the credit union can publish their achievement. Awardees will also need to submit information about their first semester of college in order to receive their scholarship check during spring semester. All communication about follow-up items will happen through AwardSpring and can be submitted through the students AwardSpring account as well.
WESTconsin requires information about the awardees first semester of college and proof that the student is enrolled in classes for the next semester. Once this information has been received WESTconsin will mail the awardee their scholarship check to their address listed on their AwardSpring account. This usually happens in February of the students first year of college.
