Shared Account Access

Give someone you trust access to your online banking information.

Let a friend or family member view balances and move money.

Maybe you know someone with a good head for numbers. Maybe you're often busy with other matters and need some help with personal finances. For any number of reasons, you may want to give a second person access to your WESTconsin Credit Union accounts. Here's how it works:

Types of Permission

  • Schedule one-time payments (within dollar amount limit set by account holder)
  • View all payees
  • View all payment history
  • Edit scheduled payments
  • Cancel scheduled payments
  • View e-bills, memos, file bills
  • Add, edit or delete payees
  • Set up automatic payments or reminders
  • Send expedited payments
  • Set up eBills
  • Edit payments pending approval
  • Edit payments above bill pay limit
  • View account balances and history
  • View and print check images
  • Print and export account history
  • Update username, password, email address, and phone number
  • Cannot transfer money
  • Transfer between accounts
  • Has View Only permission - in addition to internal transfers permissions

How to Add Subuser

  1. Click Additional Services > Shared Access > Add Person > Shared Access Terms & Conditions
  2. Enter first name, last name, phone number, email address of subuser
  3. Either click on each individual suffix to grant access for OR click on Grant full access to all accounts
  4. Confirmation screen will review the subuser’s steps to login

Subuser's Experience

  1. Subuser will receive two separate emails, one with the username and a second with the temporary password with a link to access WESTconsin Online
  2. Subusers will receive a one-time verification call to the phone number provided by the member
  3. Subuser will be required to change password
  4. Subuser will receive additional emails when changes are made to their password, contact information, etc.

Login, click on Additional Services > Shared Access > toggle the Access to NO

Login, click on Additional Services > Shared Access > toggle the Access to NO > click arrow next to Options > click Remove Profile > confirm by clicking Remove profile

If the subuser forgets either their username or password they MUST access the Forgot Username? or Forgot Password? links on our login page to reset access OR contact the member who granted them account permission to have their password reset

  • The member will need to login to their account, click on Additional Services > Shared Access > Options; reset passwords
  • The account holder has access to change the subuser’s name, phone number and email address but has no access to the subuser’s Username or password
